"Without their chloroplasts plants would be left like the rest of us, to eat what they find. Instead they hold out their green palms and catch light. If there is magic in the world, surely this is it: the descendants of tiny creatures in leaves, capable of ingesting the sun."

Michio Hoshino, a photographer known for his pictures of bears and other wildlife, was mauled to death by a brown bear on the Kamchatka Peninsula in eastern Russia. He was in his mid-40′s and lived in Fairbanks, Alaska.
This was the last photo he took.
Oh, I don’t know if you are ready for that, young grasshopper. Unveganism is a state of mind that is so zen, that it can only be accomplished by a few billion people, so it’s going to require some work on your part to be just like the mainstream.
First, make sure that when you see some kind of animal cruelty, you need to know if that’s the kind of animal you eat or not. For example, if it’s a dolphin, you need to be upset and feel like you have to tell the world about it. If it’s a cow, then you need to know that the person who showed you that footage is the horrible human being in this equation who is constantly shoving their beliefs down your throat. Then, feeling assured about your decisions because you once saw footage of a family farm in which the farmer didn’t kick a cow because he loves them.
This is just the beginning…..then there’s the whole changing of the acronym of PETA for humorous jokes, worrying about falling into deserted islands, having a maniacal obsession with protein, selectively comparing your behavior to what lions do, believing in your heart of hearts that you have something in common with the inuits, etc…. The list goes on and on.
Only you can know if you are ready to reach these unbelievable heights of enlightenment. I can’t do it for you. I can only guide you. You are going to have to do the heavy lifting yourself.
"So please ask yourself: What would I do if I weren’t afraid? And then go do it."
